A score there would surely have motivated the Beavers to move ahead. Justin did his bit of good turn in earlier games, but how long can he go on with this kind of inconsistency? Importantly, does he have the belief of his teammates? These are questions that need immediate and serious addressing.

December seems to be an off month for the Beavers what with not a lot of games scheduled for them. This should be best used by the management to assemble their best players after rest. This would mean Quizz Rodgers can come back from his shoulder injury. And the highly reputed Stephen Paea, who would possibly need some more time to recover from his injury! With these additions, surely the Beavers would be a bolstered unit.

Any free time on hands would mean the management gets time to recruit new talent. This is where the Beavers have made good headway. They have lined up 17 probabilities to join their team, and one look at them would be enough to say that the Beavers’ recruitment coordinators have been doing their jobs well. This really is the time when possible gaps should be plugged, and looking at the efforts of Beavers, more than a step has been taken.

Had it been for better strategy and a good choice of players, Beavers could still have ended up higher than what they did last season. It must be said that what is gone has gone. Looking ahead, Beavers surely look in good shape to make an impact next season.

Oregon Ducks tickets - An Opportunistic or Ungrateful Team?

Necessity is the mother of all Inventions, but opportunity is the mother of most victories. One look at the Oregon Ducks’ victories and you would say that they are opportunistic. Are they really?

The answer to this question could have waited for some years longer, but as the game progressed people were in a situation where they could have guessed the outcome.

Facing against them at the Sun Bowl would be Notre Dame! For all good bets, Notre Dame could be considered no-hopers in front of the rampaging forward line of the Ducks. Beavers have already done their bit by smacking the hell out of them in games played in 2001 and 2004. This clearly is ice pudding for Oregon Ducks!

This bad history coupled with some serious game planning issues leave the Notre Dame in no position at all to face the Ducks. In sports they say, “Stranger things have happened”, but to translate that to a possible victory against the Ducks may be stretching it to the limits of a miracle. And as it panned out, Jeremiah the offensive player from the Ducks bolted touchdowns, one after the other.

This match would definitely be wiped off people’s memories in no time. The reason – The opponents clearly were at the mercy of the mighty Ducks. With this being said, the question of whether the ducks are ungrateful or opportunistic gains momentum? Why would the Ducks accept a playoff against a weaker team, when they had just beat the living daylights out of Oregon State?

Why would Oregon Ducks accept Beavers invitation to swap matches? Agreed that both the teams have been in prime form, but does that mean you get an open guarantee to beat any team that comes your way? Just to prove this challenge wrong, it has to be seen if Beavers get knocked off the pedestal in their match up. But for now, the Ducks clearly vindicated this move by thrashing an opponent, which must be said, were no match to the supremacy of the Ducks.

All said and done, this clearly is something that would be spoken about in days to come. As the mystery over Beavers’ decision to swap matches with the Ducks unfold, which it would with time, things would get clearer. From the Ducks perspective, and knowing them well, expect no mercy! They would still continue to trample any opponent coming their way in their indomitable ruthless style.

Cal Golden Bears tickets - Living up to High Expectations

Expectations lead to pressure, and pressure sometimes leads to failure. But the Cal Golden Bears definitely do not know anything on these lines, as they go on defeating opponents ruthlessly.

Their receivers were almost at the right position when the throws came to them. The quarter backs did a lot of running. It almost seemed as if things were going for the Golden Bears as per a plan. And really, this is to be believed as the sole secret of the Golden Bears’ successes!

If a game against the Washington would be slated this Sunday, the Golden Bears team would start preparing for the game at least a week in advance, with time permitting. This logic is applied for their matches against all teams and not specifically Washington. Importantly, they get all pieces to their planning right. On match day thus, it only remains on how well the plans are implemented. It must be said that with the kind of players the Golden Bears have, they are done well.

It is said, “Any plan is good only if it works. If it doesn’t, it is a cheap gold watch!” This is perfectly applicable to the Golden Bears. They might have still have had the best of plans but unless they executed it in the middle, all those plans would be of no use really. In their game against Washington, the Golden Bears gave spectators and other NFL teams an insight on how thorough their planning is, and importantly, how good their execution is!

Arizona State Sun Devils tickets - a Team with a Serious Need for Red Bull

The distributors of Red Bull, the famous energy drink would do brisk business if they set up base near to the practice area of the Arizona State Sun Devils.

What was a top class team once upon a time, has dwindled down to a team of mere mortals. Their games lack the intensity of a top league NFL game. Worse still, an apparent lack of energy and enthusiasm in the players mean they get into trouble very soon in all the games. The game against the Wild Cats was enough testimony to this fact!

What should have been a nonchalant walkthrough for the Sun Devils turned out to be a thorough massacre! The Wild Cats butchered the Sun Devils 31-10, and in essence, left the Sun Devils’ players red-faced for sure. Long before the game itself, there were calls for the head of Rich Olson, the offensive coordinator. After the game, it surely seems to be a matter of time that some heads roll.

The game itself was a sham, literally speaking. Led by the guile of Wille Tuitamo, the Wild Cats mounted offensives on the Sun Devils time after time. And the Sun Devils defense line and quarter back just stood, watching like helpless ducks. Worse still, not one player from the Sun Devils had the guts to even increase his energy levels. The whole team played as if they were playing against a team from Mars! No energy, no spark – No wonder Red Bull distributors would be queuing up on the doors of the Sun Devils!

It was not as if this game had academic interest. There was a lot to play for. A chance to claim victory apart, it also would give the winning team a chance to compete in further matches. The opposition had a huge monkey on their backs – Of never making it through this stage. For any other team, this would have been a huge psychological boost! But for the Sun Devils! They made a complete hash of what should have been a walk in the park for them.

Obviously, the fact of the Wild Cats not winning these matches did get to them, negatively. This possibly would have fuelled some kind of complacency in their players. That could really be the excuse here, as all of them played 100% under their potential. On the other hand, the Wild Cats were equally determined to make this count. They surely wanted a place in the history, and with their acts, they made it happen.

Quarterback Rudy Carpenter best summarizes the story,” We hoped to win, but we just could not managed to win.” Beaten black and blue by the Wild Cats, the Sun Devils would do well to go back to the drawing room and do some serious introspection.

If reports have to be believed, some heads can roll. But that surely is not a solution to the problem. Maybe, the players would need to be given liberal doses of Red Bull so that their energy levels go up for the game!

Arizona Wildcats tickets - The Cats get Lucky and LOL Once Again!

Fortune favors the brave – How true is this adage when applied to the Arizona Wild Cats? After all the agony they had to undergo for the last 10 seasons, Arizona Wild Cats seem to have returned back to their winning ways.

On the 7th December 2008, Arizona Wild Cats romped home against Arizona State on a margin of 31-10. With this, the Wild Cats completed their first victorious season after 1998. This win is creditable primarily because of the absence of some superstars like Antonie Carson and Spencer Larson. It must be said that even with these stars aboard, the Wild Cats could not clock a victorious season.

The man in question throughout the game was quarterback, Wille Tuitama. He is one guy who has seen it all against the Sun Devils. In the team’s victory over the Sun Devils, Wille played a critical role. Obviously, including the coach almost everyone was effusive on their praise for Wille. Tuitama though has a long history of yard passes and touchdowns. But this victory over the Sun Devils allows him to go one up on his rival Rudy Carpenter from the Sun Devils.

Perhaps, the more satisfying highlight in this victory was that the Wild Cats were able to keep the Sun Devils off the bowl. This possibly was something that Wild Cats coaches have been aiming for some time now. For a lot of players who started in this game, the win surely would come as a highlight in their career.

Most of the victory was indeed credited to Wille’s guile and aggression, but it must not be forgotten that a victory over the Sun Devils could not have been accomplished had it not been for a complete team effort. And a team effort it was! The forward and the back line jelled really well in this game against the Sun Devils to give full points to the Wild Cats.

Receiving the balls was one of the weaker areas of the Wild Cats’ game. In fact, this really was one main reason why they ended up losing a lot of games. In the game against the Sun Devils, not too many throws went awry in their directions. With a good touchdown ratio to their credit, surely it was Sun Devils who were going to be in trouble. The Wild Cats, unlike previous games, built up pressure early and did not let up the steam any moment in the game. This just did not allow the Sun Devils breathe easy, and they succumbed to the sustained pressure.

The Wild Cats travel to Vegas now for their next encounter. Obviously, high on their minds would be the confidence they take from this victory. More importantly, the belief that they could do it, could work wonders for this team that for long now has been labeled as chokers. With this victory, surely they would have shrugged off the chokers’ tag.
